I guess I'm cheap and will simply use a rock or piece of firewood instead. I don't carry firewood in my jeep. However, I do carry a pressed wood log and some of the smaller pressed wood fire starters. And, I am frequently in areas where rocks of suitable size are not available. And, as I don't trust parking brakes (long story), the $100 is a cheap investment.

If you wheel in sand with no handy trees for a tie off, one of the heavy canvas bags you fill with sand and bury makes a pretty good anchor.

Sounds like it is time to go back to the basics....
Lift it, lock it, winch it, cage it...
and then get prepared with go with the proper gear...
Somewhere I have a list of on-board spares that was the product of a lengthy thread on an old e-mail list.
I will have to see if it is sill around and post it.

Got several more boxes today... Everything all together. Also, interesting note on the Moog boxes. Opened them and found this little tag with each steering part. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" /> ![[Linked Image]](http://img27.imageshack.us/img27/6666/img0677qt.jpg)
