That said, I'm sure Mitsubishi engineered the body panels where it mounts to be strong enough to hold the extra 40lbs of weight of a full jerry can. Gasoline is just over 6lb/gal, roughly .75 the weight of the same vol of water. Heck, even heavy bunker oil floats on water. A full 5gal jerrycan is thus about 30 pounds plus can weight. Handy. Running 35's and not carrying a spare since I have a ladder on the door, I am not going to have any issues of weight that way. Sweet!
