That's 60 miles/day back and forth to my office. Mix of backroads and arterials but speeds 45-65 with little stop and go. Just as a baseline of conditions I used to be able to milk 17-18 MPG's out of it with the Mikuni under the same conditions.

If I had a set of smaller injectors for my Magna I'd try it to see. With the 850 cc injectors I have I don't feel like trying to tune it. Idle, cruise, and low throttle conditions get tricky with injectors that big if you're looking for MPG's. That being said, I have gotten over 30 MPG on my Magna equipped turbo Conquest on many occasions (interstate driving and leaned cruise). I also have one of the Hurricane manifolds laying around but with it's short runners it's built more for top end, high rpm so I don't think it would be a good fit on the Gen1.

Not sure I've ever given much of my background on here but since 1993 I've had somewhere in the neighborhood of 30 2.6 powered vehicles (not all runners ) and been running with Megasquirt and MPI since about 2005. Once you get over the initial fear and learning curve of Megasquirt....it's a powerful system that I've had just as much (if not more) success as I have with standalone systems that are generally viewed as "superior". I think alot of the negativity towards Megasquirt is totally unjustified. End soap box
