I havent tried those, however I did get a set from a member on here PLH very good quality, and in my opinion, better than my superwinch ones on my other 4x4. The price is about the same and your supporting a mittsu. brother. Hope he has some in stock. METALMOVER(Wisconsin

Body Damage is Cool
I have them on my 1990. Truthfully I really haven't used them much either (daughter drives truck now ) But was good solid piece. I got a killer deal when I got them-Ebay was like 69.00 plus shipping. Someone clearing inventory.

They only lasted a handful of trips, they were going to send me a new set to replace the broken ones and examine the failed units but never happened. I had one of them explode on a pretty mild trail, the hub body is weak and the casting had a lot of imperfections in the metal. I know a lot about metal by the way.

I have a set on the Isuzu.. I've beat on them pretty hard with the stock 31s on my truck and have done mild wheeling with the 33s... I assume I will be putting them to the real test once I put the front locker and taller gears in the truck. On the other hand the idea is I hope to be crawling up stuff and not as rough as I have been in the past.

Wow, that's telling about their customer support. You have to wonder how they'll support you as a customer when the folks that are helping them to test & refine their products to ensure good quality don't get proper support in return.

I've been away from the forum for quite awhile now, but I defintiely do recall there being some discussion here on the forum regarding Rugged Ridge that there were 2 versions... a "1st generation" and a "2nd generation". I dont recall exact differences, etc. But I remember there was mention the 2nd gen was to be beefier, etc. and a lot of the vendors at the time with the existing 1st gen were looking to clear out stock (hence perhaps the ebay deal found).

Some forum searches ought to reveal the thread.

Of course you can never go wrong with Aisin smile

Yep, Aisan from Asia. He goes over there on business trips and brings them back for us here in the US. They don't have any qualms about getting out and locking their hubs over there.
