Body Damage is Cool

Are you going to replace the roof or do a new body?

I had a chance to buy a '87 4Runner for $600, but was 3 hours too late An entire body swap would have been the fastest and easiest...

I have been doing the body work, and the glass now fits. Not urethaned in yet, making it prettier while it's out of the way. PortaPower and a bunch of stud welding / slide hammer pulling, and now the first thin layer of bondo on. I have another set of wheels for daily driving, so I'm not rushing this. But it wll be decent.

Wow, glad you are ok!

How's the windshield holding up? Mine cracked three days after it was installed in 2000 (rock strike on I17) and I just left it cracked since I don't feel like paying for a new one. lol

Planning on any trips around Flagstaff, I'd love to go for a run, truck still runs great

Dang Josh, long time no hear.

New glass doing great. Only issue I'm not digging is that I had to completely cover the roof with sheetmetal to cover the hole where the sunroof was. No noise or leaks, it's just that the 108 degree sun turns that hole into a heat radiator inside the cab. I am looking into covering the gap on the inside, and shooting spray-foam in there to insulate it. Other than that, everything is doing great.
