You might want to consider putting in an inline filter like this Magnefine power steering filter...$16 shipped!

Here in Fairbanks, we're lucky enough to have a specialty shop which will rework busted hoses for you with an extreme cold rubber material for a fraction of the cost of what the dealer wants; good turn time too.

They're right next to where I take my Toyota alternators and starters for rebuilds; the dealer uses them too. I figure if the armatures are still good, to keep 'em in my vehicles.

Well, for the last week, I effectively had an open system, but got the kit from trail gear, and had my mechanic install it, spent 84 at trail gear, and 200 at the mechanic for install, the mechanic had to remove the vacuum lines, and now everything is all good

it looks like my tranny lines are rough too, and now I am starting to think I am getting closer to calling it a day, and getting an inline 4 tacoma 4wd access cab, but, there is so much I love about the t... suicide doors are getting tempting though, because putting a car seat in the back sucks!

I wish I had the cash to have someone make our x-cab into suicide doors. I too hate the setup but I love the rest of the truck.
