Thank you guys! I did find a couple of these engines in CA imported from Japan with 50,000 KMs for 1700+shipping, I contacted them and they said the only difference would be to transfer over a couple of emissions...
I found a local mechanice who seems to know what he is doing and promised a complete overhaul w 24K miles/2 years parts&labor warranty for $1600, he works alone out of a shop he just got (has a lot of customers) but seems to be very experienced... both head are getting machined, oh and not to mention that I slipped changing the oil pan gasket renewal on the transmission on the deal as well, it seemed like it was leaking (alot of oil in that area).
