Sorry, i am spacing out these days. I have a good compressor identical to the one you have pictured. The compressor spins freely. It makes the proper "pumping" noise. I do not know what the condition of the clutch is, but as I recall this came off a running rig that had a bad knock. I have a diesel unit with AC here, two actually, and the mounting looks to be a bit different for the newer type brackets from the 2.5 TD engines.
