Regarding a 87 4Runner, I'm putting my doors together after getting it back from the paint shop. I was about to put the vent windows in and noticed the foam sealant tape has seen better days. No part shops around here carry anything that could be used, they all have double sided stick foam used to hold badges and molding to the body. This appears to be sticky only on one side. There are a couple other parts in the door that use foam tape, like the hanger receiver. It appears to be pretty high density stuff.

I've looked in part listings and can't find a number for it. I did some googling and found some makers of foam tape but was kind of overwhelmed. I wasn't confident that I would pick the right stuff. Anyone have experience with finding replacements?

I buy mine at Canadian Tire... of course you don't have that down there but i'd try a home store, or even RV / boat supply place. I have all different widths / thicknesses...

I went the home depot route. I found some single sided rubber-foam sealant tape that seemed to have the same properties. I'll get it on the freeway and see how it holds up to the wind.
