2003 Dakota sxt extended cab 4wd 3.9 auto trans tow rating?
Anybody know the factory rating? Best i can come up with on the web is 3300-6500. I would like my next truck to be factory rated at at least 4000, with 4500 lbs being better.
The factory ratings on used trucks seems to be a closely guarded secret on the web. LOL

skip the Dakota and go for the Ram 1500 4x4 extended cab. I would say go 5 speed because those auto trans are a bit frail.

Yea, he said the trans went out at 51K wtf? The truck has 141k on it and the motor 41K. It looked like a nice truck for the price, but not really what i feel i need in a tow vehicle.

Towing a 4,000 pound load, I'd be leery of half ton trucks in general.
