Getting the Wheeling Fever

i dropped the pan and all looks good and no metal shavings.
im going to look on the fsm to see were the spring pin is located and hopefully my local dealer with have this part in stock. i have some special tools and i know of a machine shop if i have to make a tool. when the spring pin broke did you have to drill it out?
