With the stock Gen 2 15x7 rims and a 33-12.50 it will rub the door. Yea I've seen Carlos' rig with the 37's on the stock mount, but the spare was all tilted and what not.

Uh...Not really. The stock carrier barely fits a 33 depending on your rim backspacing, and the tire rubs the back door. Sure you can space it out, but then its no longer stock is it? Upwards of a 37?

Just thinking about this more and I wonder if you have a lot of backspacing or extra wide 33's on your rims especially if you can't fit 33's.

I just confirmed with Carlos and he ran a Goodyear 37x14.5/15 tire mounted on a 15x10" rim on his and he agreed that it could have probably held a 38.

I do recall he had to shim it using washers but that was because of the rim backspacing he chose.

One key thing for the OP to note is that you can't do this with the stock bumper... although I don't believe it's a concern for you since you're planning building new bumpers anyway.

great guys,
but with the bouncing around over time and the bigger tires im putting on it will "stress the bolts over time", its a little inconvinente but she sure looks mean!!! jerry cans and hi jack are on the sway away, the jerry can attachment is removeable.

Hi Jesse,

Good news for you... the bolts are actual standard vehicle lug bolts so they're just as strong as what you use to mount the wheels to the hubs. What could 'possibly' wear out are the nuts on the carrier but I highly doubt it.

If I were you, I'd focus on a swing out carrier for just the Jerry Can + HiLift instead.

Oh, and I'm also looking forward to your pics.
