Roll Me Over
I've seen some on eBay but have no idea on quality. I have an '86 4D55T but it's never been rebuilt. You might be better off contacting a UK vendor through POCUK since they are more common over there. (as long as the 4D56 parts are compatible)

well i have found some at northernautoparts.com the have a set of rings something like $120 and they also offer piston and rings for 50.40 each. so looking at 200 for that set. i hope i am jumping the gun. i have not got it to my garage yet. so first i need to check compression, check fuel injectors. the basics first. i got it from a friend. who says it was running fine after he had the motor installed drove a few hundred miles and then it would not start. he had Manuel hubs, duel bounce seat and a rear lsd installed as well, dark blue sitting on factor alum rims. ill get some pics posted here later

Ah that's the rig that was for sale on CL last week in Seattle. I wanted to buy but know nothing about diesels.

If you need any help turning wrenches let me know. Would like to see the rig sometime.

it is the one and the same. the owner i got it from has a few of them hes got a pajero with the 2.5 and a coverted montero with the 2.3. ill be taking it to my dads some time. out spanaway, gram area. its still out in oly. run some test. and find out if i need to tear it apart not a lot differnt from gas to diesel. haha i know parts cost more. and some are really hard to find for the 4d55. but 23-28 mpg sounds good. well thats what i hope fore.
better then my 2.6 witch i think i got 18.8 when i checked today. may be a all time high. the guy marty is actuly on the fourm goes by seattleradiers or something. this is for u if you read this marty <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />.
