Quick question regarding changing the plugs...how cooled down does the engine need to be to safely change the spark plugs?
Does it have to be stone cold, or is sitting for like 4hrs good enough?

A little warm is better. The plug won't be as tight in the threads and you have less chance of galling them.

A little warm is better. The plug won't be as tight in the threads and you have less chance of galling them. fantastic, thanks for the info! I got my hood up now, in the end it should be about a 4hr cool down time, hopefully thats good enough...i just cant wait till the weekend

So i did get the other plugs finally changed on the driver side. Cylinder 4 and 6 spark plugs were covered in oil <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />
whats the significance of this, i know it cant be good?
EDIT: the good thing about the plugs being covered in oil is that the electrode part was completely dry
