Need a Spot
I have 235/75/16 tires, no idea of the gearing, automatic. Overdrive seems a bit persnikety but I am turning right about 2150 rpm at 55 mph. Is that about right?

Yup, Montero V6 pulls power up high and have a short stroke. That's why we have much lower gearing than most other similar vehicles. 3500RPM continuously is no problem up in the 70+ MPH. I've run with a few other guys with the DOHC engines back when i had mine uphill to Flagstaff almost 6000RPM. The cool thing about that was that JohnnyB and myself were heading up to meet with some Nissans, they had newer X-terras with bigger motors, smaller tires and lighter trucks, we passed them and everyone else like they were going slow.
