Aren't you worried about the weight bias being way off?

I was considering a 3.8 V6 from the late '90s ford or chevy; close to a hundred pounds lighter. Eventually, I came to the conclusion to go turbo instead with a stand alone computer. it will only add about 35-60 pounds and a lot of power...
