There's an adjustment screw on the top of the box. Set the steering wheel straight ahead. Loosen the lock nut and tighten the screw with a large flat blade screwdriver. If you get it too tight, the steering won't self center from a turn, so go easy. I twiddle the lower shaft as I tighten to feel the slack disappear...
