Speaking of clutch. Pedal has always felt like i wasn't pushing the pedal enough even though i'd put the clutch to the floor, so I thought I'd see what I could do. I pumped the clutch pedal up and held it down with a pry bar. Then went underneath and cracked the clutch slave cylinder bleeder screw loose and took whatever air if any out. I closed the bleeder before the throw out rod released all the way. That way I knew the system was closed while still under pressure. meaning I know there wasn't any way air could have back feed into the system. Then adjusted the clutch pedal under the dash. For years I've, on occasion, grinded going into 2nd gear on racier shifts.. since I took most of the clutch pedal play out of it I haven't grinded 2nd since. Note: do leave at least just a hair of play. Over adjusting the clutch can cause clutch slippage and premature failure. PS: there's a plastic shim that goes inside the clutch pedal arm where it attaches with a cotter pin to the clutch master cyl. this part wears down to nothing after a 100k miles or so. the part is tricky to find at the dealer but they CAN get it and it's only like a couple bucks. it takes a week or so to get in to the dealer. Don't even try the local parts stores for it. the dealer is cheap enough and they'll have the right part. this shim wears out and causes the pedal to play regardless of adjustment. if you put your head under the dash with a flashlight and wiggle the pedal by hand you'll see where the play is to the clutch master cyl. -end rant.
