Hey stevec, thanks for that picture. It totally cemented what I thought I needed to do. I took a picture and compared it to my engine configuration. There definetly are a lot of differences. Take a look at the images below.

Guys, what this boils down to is incompatibility. I now have decided that I'll have to take the enigne out from my old silver 1990 Montero and transplant it into my blue 89 Raider. Does anyone in Oregon need a donor car? Once I remove the engine, I won't have any need for the 1990 Montero. I'll have to donate it to the local junk yard unless someone wants to claim the rest of it.
