I have now traveled 2500 miles in my Ramcharger, still shaking out the old problems and skimming the rough edges off my 33" muds. I know I need to replace the AC clutch and shocks all around. That is my news this week.

Well, since 2 of you Montero guys happen to be in CA...I've got a trip planned and you guys (anybody, really) are more than welcome!

Panamint Valley/Death Valley, January. 3 to 5 days. Exact dates and times TBA. If you know the area, the trip will probably include at least one loop (Pleasant-South Park), and at least one night run (not sure where yet).

Trip is family friendly...stupid [censored] strongly discouraged. Or, if people must partake in stupid [censored], relocate to another camp. If you need help, the group will assist in relocating you.

Let me know if you want to come along! It's a gorgeous area, some challenging trails right now because of recent weather (washouts), and bitchin ghost towns.

My travels haven't extended to DV for about 20 years now, unfortunately. Would love to visit Aguereberry Point again! However, no funds and VERY far for me...I live in the shadow of Mt. Lassen.

It has been a very tough period since the depression started. Unforunately it will be a very long time before things get back to anywhere close to where they used to be. That being said, I think it is important to get back to what we love again, all be it less often. I have 3 trips in mind for next year. March or April to Hole-N-The-Rock, Late summer Sierra Carnage and finally a short Colorado trip early fall. As we go through the winter we can discuss dates and itineraries.

Going out on a limb here, but I'd like to see maybe a bi-annual AZ/CA/NV thing happen.

I like the idea of a joint CA/NV run.

Must be that whole "Az Crew doesn't wheel anymore" bandwagon. All our wheeling "talk" seems to break a fair amount of tie rods and axles though.
I have to admit i quit wheeling for the rest of the year due to this past spring of destroying my new IFS, Hopefully i'll be out again by december in the diesel. Then i can build a whole new front suspension for my '99 again to be ready for next spring.

Well boyz - I've taken it to a whole new level....Mine is on a boat on it's way to join me in Thailand where it will be it's new home unless we (me and my new wife <Zeny>) decide to go someplace else or take it to the Philippines as we have a place there also. So.....I will be driving with the steering wheel on the wrong side of the car here - ok mostly but not for fast lane passing - if you think V6 SWB A/T is rare in the US I'm guessing it will be turning heads here to - especially when there's no steering wheel where they think it should be. The 4 Runner is safe and sound inside a storage garage and had to say goodbye to the Lexus. We still have the camper (24" pull Dutchmen) so the plan is 8 months in Thailand - 2 months kicking around the Philippines - and 2 months Rv'ing in the US playing softball tourneys as they pop up (just got back from an international tourney in Pattaya - two upcoming in Indonesia and the PI..... That's the update from this side of the pond......

Thanks guys - there are some tricked out Pajeros here. I'll see what I can find out. The ones with the truck back look really good when built up. Might be a language barrier but I'll try. In the interim I'm using a buddies 4 door 5 speed Pajero turbo diesel - weird thing - it was built as a police special and no one not even the DMV here can put a year on it. Special VIN which I understand is so it cannot be traced. Only thing I can tell you is it has leaf springs. Haven't really explored it to find anything that could have been modded or outfitted to make it a "police" unit. Does have dual bouncies.

Body Damage is Cool
Alright, I guess it's my turn to check in... I had a really busy summer four wheeling and multiple projects on my Monty and the new "offroad" camping trailer I picked up during the summer... looking forward to a couple of smow runs and one more camping trip for the year end!

I do check the wire often but don't post as much as I'm not a good writer!

I hope every else starts 4wheeling again!
