Well i successfully installed the correct front rotors today. Not a job i want to do anytime soon, as there were alot of components to get correct. Why would Mitsu make it so darn difficult to get to the rotors.

Thankfully i didnt run into too much trouble on the 2nd attempt. The correct snap ring pliers made getting the snap ring off a piece of cake. The chevy modified lock ring tool seemed just barely adequate, as it kept slipping off.

My technique for re-installing the lock ring was: tighten it up (but not overly, as i found it real difficult to loosen if you over-tighten), loosen it up, then re-tighten a little, then loosen slightly to re-align the holes for the lock washer. FSM calls for tighten to 119lb, loosen to 0lb, tighten to 18lb, then loosen 30-40 deg.
