The first I suspect is a valve cover leak.
The 2nd, I'm not sure but I am sure others will likely know. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

!. Valve cover gasket. When it leaks oil, it gets on the exhaust manifold since the exhaust manifold is very hot the oil burns off causing smoke. Will not cause high idle.
2. The vent hose on the charcoal canister is supposed to be open on the bottom.

Thanks Justice.
Hey, does anyone know if the 3.0 V6 Engines have a PCV Valve? I read that it might cause idle issues but can't locate it anywhere. Thanks!

Under the intake on the dside valve cover. All cars since 1967 must have a pcv valve. Very unlikely it is causing a fast idle issure.

Ok, I see it now...thanks....its buried under the intake manifold. Hmmm, the hose going to the PCV Valve is really hard, must be pretty old. I sprayed Carb Cleaner around it to see if there where any leak and didnt get anything.
I was reading about people having fast idle being cause by the Fuel Pressure Regulator...has any one here experience any problems with the FPR?

Well my Raider is still non op, still got the high idle. If anyone got anything let me know. I plan on taking it to a Mechanic who's a friend of mine and leaving it at his house for a week or two to see what he can come up with. I'll be sure to keep everyone updated.

Do keep us informed! I'd love to know what the root cause is.

Well, one diagnostic for a vac leak of unmetered air is to smell the exhaust. If you are leaking unmetered air, the exhaust will smell acrid and burny to the nose. If you are leaking metered air, it will smell normal. Metered air will be leaking around the fidle valve or ISC or throttle plate or bypass air channel. Unmetered air will be leaking at the manifold joints/shafts, vac line or ports, etc. Sniff and report.
