I just bought a 94 montero sr. Wow I wish I knew about these before! And I wish I knew about the wire too. Thank you all for this great site. I have a lot to learn about these monteros and Id love to attend a get together. Ill post up some pics as soon as I take some. As of now its totally stock but Im trying for more of an overland rig that can take me across country, and possibly a USA - Panama trip. Im in the market for some good tires if anyone has any laying around. looking forward to reading some build threads and learning a lot. Thanks again!!

What's up mike! Good see you finally got all the wire bugs worked out and were able to post up.

As mentioned in our emails, I live in VA now but would love to to plan a trip soon. Uwharrie closes in Dec but reopens in April. I think that would give us plenty of time to organize something. Tho it's a hit or miss with most of us on here, a few of us close enough usually try to sync a trip with the Isuzu guys, awesome group of guys too! By wheeling with them, gives us a chance to wheel with more rigs and hope more Montero & Raiders show up.

Get a feel with this site cause most of the questions you want to ask have most likely been asked so you could search it. But you could always ask too (as a second option) lol.

Great site! I cant wait to meet up with some other Monteros. Im working 68 hours a week right now with Sunday my only day off for at least a month but I would without a hesitation take a day off for a trip.

The day I bought it. (the pictures do it a lot of justice)Had 4 different tires, all 31s, all in different states of tread wear from almost cords to like brand new but dry rotted

Poor thing has been sitting around too long waiting for some fun. It's got a pile of metal growing in the back to take to the scrap metal guys. I guess that won't be too good to take wheeling either lol




Welcome to the forum - The next isuzu gathering is for halloween october 26-28 it looks like. I will be in tennesee for an offroad race at windrock. I will probably have the montero for that.
