I'm putting the side windows back together after getting a new paint job. I'm having a real hard time trying to find the butyl tape to hold the window sill to the hardtop. I've seen forum posts recommending RV shops. The only butyl tape that I've found at an RV shop is 1 inch thick,flat and gray. I thought the tape I needed was very thin maybe 1/8 round black. Is there a toyota part number for it? Does someone have a link to the correct product in an online store?

Also I'm trying to reattach the rubber gasket to the window sill as well as the gasket that goes around the L Trim. It appears they have shrunk, if thats even possible. I wanted to just use silicon because it's far less messy then the butyl stuff, but since the gaskets have "shrunk" they would need something to hold them in place as the sealant dried.

Has anyone else had problems with "shrinking" gaskets and what they did to work around it. Also does anyone put the gaskets back on? I've seen write ups about replacing the windows/L Trim and reassembly, but there is never a mention of the gaskets for the L Trim or the window sill.
