I just installed my 12-804 holley fpr last night. Previously, trip home from mechanic after getting gas tank cleaned raider died(possibly flooded out) going down highway at least 6 times. I drove the raider to work this morning, 34 miles and not a single hiccup. The FPR is set right now at 2psi. No dieseling now either.

That's SWEET Brad! I was able to find the fine line of adjustment between the FPR, Fuel/Air and Idle this weekend on my journey. I drove over a couple of mountains(2400' up/down), around some towns and normal 40-45 puttin'. I would stop about every 100 miles and make a slight adjustment on the Fuel/Air and idle until I saw these steps in power and fuel mileage return: 15-16 on purchase, 18 on highway after FPR, 20.6mpg mixed driving on the most recent tank including two trips (to and back) over the mentioned mountain, 100 miles of highway and rest city.

Tresmon- maybe there's an issue with your Mr. Gasket FPR?? Seems to be adding issues exactly where's it's suppose to help.

I have been having this problem for the past year on and off and figured that it had something to do with the dial FPR that I have on it. Did you have to get anything else to go with the 12-804 holley fpr to get it to work like fittings or a pressure gauge?

I did add a pressure gauge a couple of days ago but when I initially set it I just cranked the valve all the way in and then backed out 3 full turns as a guess. The shop next door allowed me to use there pro gauge to check it the next morning and that's where I got the original reading from. Since adding the "permanent" gauge I have a consistent check if I need it. Since the Holley has dual outputs it's easy to add-on. Additional parts other than that was the 3/8th's NPT to what ever size fuel hose that you're using and either the gauge or a cap to close the second output. After you do this; clean the carb from carbon the best you can (carb cleaner, steam trick, etc..), check your timing and use the Weber initial set guide for Fuel/Air and Idle.

Cheers!

Do you have any pics of the install. I am about to try installing the 804 to cure my issues and am interested in seeing where you mounted.
