I don't remember having to move the diff at all, so if I did, it wasn't a big deal. I know I didn't have to disassemble anything related to it, but I may have unbolted some mounts and jacked it up or something.
Did you have to do that with your Montero, Dave?

I wonder if the high pinion diff give more room. The low pinion on Gen 1 3.0 has to be moved to press one bushing into frame on drivers side, as/if I recall.
