A more serious look at my cooling fan blade, and I'm thinking of replacing it. It may also be an item for other users to check. On the hub, between the blades, I appear to have cracks in the plastic, and it looks to be between every blade.


My fan has had similar cracks in it for close to 100K miles now and hasn't shown any signs of getting worse or coming apart. IIRC, it looked like the blades would still be retained by the attaching bolts even if they were to break completely at the cracking locations, so I've not been too worried about it.
