Drill bigger, blue loctite on the chuck...

Now that the bolt is drilled thru, it's a good time to soak the back end of the bolt thru the hole, acetone and dexron, half and half.

The bigger the drilled hole, the bigger the easy out you could use, and the harder you can twist it without breaking. Put the easy out under strong torque with an adjustable wrench, and whack the end of the easy out to shock it loose.

You're getting there...

I've gotten at least a turn out of it, counter-clockwise. The adjustable wrench just isn't cutting it, though. I can't get the angle I need to put torque on it, but it is turning. All I have is PB Blaster, but I'm getting a lot in there (and have been doing that for days). I'm also using my little magnet to get as many shavings out as possible before moving the bolt.

Of course I USED to have a decent selection of 8-point sockets, but every single one of them has jumped ship and I can't find them. That's what I'm really jonesin' for right now.

And of course, now it's dark again. I only have about a half hour after work each day. I'll get it though.

Yes ..

Its engine harmonics and balance vibration that breaks the bolt.. Not bad bolts ...Thats why the crank bolt and update bolt look so funky ... A ARP bolt will just make the crank snout break ...Put a new crank bolt every year as I have and you will not have a problem ...

1. buy a tap wrench, or
2. sort thru your 12pt 1/4" drive sockets - one should "fit" the square on the ezout well enough to turn it with some force.

I'll answer my own question. ASA says it is the same number for my '92 V6 3.0L 1101A022

Yeah, of course I found a 1/4" eight point socket. It lasted about one revolution before it stripped out. Tap wrench next...
