Mullets take time. I already drink Busch, though, and I have several t-shirts I could cut the sleeves off of.

Two E-Z Outs broke on us today. It's open-engine surgery at this point. I have options, thanks to the AZ Crew!

Problem here at this point is the E-Z outs are busted off inside the crank snout. At this point we were talking about pulling the motor and replacing the crank. Or we would have to see what a machine shop would charge to try and repair.
What is your advise Motero? Keep in mind though, not only is there the remains of a bolt but now we have broken tips of E-Z outs in there.

Motero, I'm not sure there's anything left to try, but if you can think of something, I'm all ears. The bolt simply wouldn't budge any more.
Doesn't really matter that the E-Z's were Harbor Freight at this point. If there was any way to turn that bolt, that was it. It took an incredible amount of force to break those things and the bolt just shrugged it off.
Still contemplating things. I do believe it's time to get the '86 back in action, though, as I'm tired of being OUT of action! Onward!

There is a possibility that the threads are destroyed in there anyway, it will take a tungsten drill bit to remove the easy out. I sent you a text, I may be able to salvage the situation I just might be an expert on this sort of thing.

yeah, it seems someone is always bringing me something with a bolt broken off deep inside or a broken tap.

There is one other way, and its a last ditch effort, but I've seen it done and it was successful. Acetylene torch. Hot flame quickly applied directly to the bolt(put snout of torch in the hole), and it will "pop" the bolt and pretty much vaporize it. The bolt has lower melting point than the crank, so you need to be quick about it. Don't ask me how I know this...but at this point what do you have to loose? The one time I witnessed this it was on a 95 SR that had a drill bit broke off in the bolt, and the threads of the crankshaft amazingly were unharmed after the procedure. The old guy that did it was experienced in this method and he said its dangerous for the threads, but it worked in that case.. Good Luck.
