mmm, yes, with a weber the ecu is just dead weight. The spark is controlled by the ignitor in the dizzy and the mechanical and vac advance, so the ecu money was wasted from go.

It sounds like fuel to me given that it happens at rising rpms and sputters, then dies, but will recrank.
