I remember when I lived in MI I had a 65 Corvair. Most the front clip was sculpted out of bondo due to it just rusting away (Previous owner's handywork)......

I keep hearing rumors that they are kicking around the idea of using salt up in the mountains around here. I hope it never happens. I'll take chips in my paint and windshield from the gravel the put down for traction any day over car cancer.
I do tend to drive older Asian cars these days afterall, they don't tend to hold up to salt very well......
