Yeah I'm probably going to leave it as is.
I'm just inside the line for DEQ testing where I'm at.
They don't do a visual. But they do plug into the OBD2 port and let the vehicles computer tell them if it passes.

I'm sure it would be fine to switch though. As long as it does not throw a code I'd be good. But why mess with it when I know how to deal with it. Not against a bit of maintenance on the EVAP system every so often if needed. Besides, looking at diagrams I think the whole tank and everything has to be swapped due to differences in the vent tubes and such.
