So does the Hyundai also bolts up to the Tranny, I am also assuming that is from a RWD vehicle, correct?

Stick with the Mitsu 3.0 variants, the best one to get a block and heads from is the Diamante. Most powerfull of the 12v 3.0's PM lordtrunks and he can get you pointed in the right direction as far as years and what to expect with the swap. it's pretty straight forward.
If you're feeling nutty and you know a bit about diesels you can swap JDM Pajero diesels pretty easily but it'll cost a lot more 3-4k.

ok so it sounds like I have more options now <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif" alt="" />.....that is what I like, If I do stay with the current engine that is in there, how do I know exactly what I have, since the po said he got it out of a Dodge Caravan in a junkyard, I guess I am asking, where would I find the identifying numbers on the engine itself? Thanks

on the Diamante 3.0 , be aware that that engine has different cams(cam timing) and has interference pistons that give it that 10:1 compression. The Diamante engine might not work to well with your ECU. The caravan engine uses the same cams as your stock engine, but it will has cheap stamped steel cam gears. One way to tell if you really have a Chrys. engine is looking at the cam gears. And the Hyundai engine is from a bunch of RWD configured Montero engines that Mitsu sold off to startup Hyundai company. It is already drilled, tapped for motor mounts and the dipstick hole is the same as a Montero. I'd do the diesel if I had the means. The 3.0 is a pretty dependable family truckster engine, but mods are fun...
