Hello all... Looking at a 2002 Montero from picture it doesn't have a tow package. Monty is priced well, and low miles, question is what does it take and can it be done to add a towing package. I pull a tent trailer, maybe 1900 pounds.
Thanks for any words of advice/warning.

I'm guessing you have a full size montero and not a montero sport right? Below is a link to a hitch and video of the install. You will also need a trailer light setup. Not sure if Gen3's need a converter but I would assume so. If it has separate bulbs for brake and turn signals you will need a converter. http://www.etrailer.com/Trailer-Hitch/Mitsubishi/Montero/2002/75116.html?vehicleid=20021893

You can get a plug-n-play 4-pin for the Gen III's wiring for trailer. Can't remember if ours came from Fleabay or one of the online trailer shops. Might have been eTrailer.
