I used a Gates kit on my 2.5. It came with the Japanese Bearings (koyo I think?) Which were the same brand that came off (and still going strong at 125k miles).

I was satisfied, so I bought the Gates kit for the Hyundai when I did it -- it too came with the Japenese bearings where the OEM were Korean GMB (and exploded at 104k miles)
