Hi guys. Quick Q: is there such a thing as a gen 1 montero (not raider) whose vin number begins with a number and not a letter? Im a mexican national who lives in Tijuana, but mexican customs say my monty cant be imported into mexico cause vin begins with a letter. I would love to laugh at California emissions. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />. Would any of you guys mind checking on your rigs? Thanks in advance. I would love to buy my wife a LWB model for the kids but she only has a mexican license

Vehicles built in Mexico will have a 3 as the first digit of the VIN.
