Does it clunk when you put it in reverse or drive?Give it a little gas with foot on brake and shift from reverse to drive a few times if your getting a clunk between the shifts its u joint, also someone can look underneath and see if the driveshaft is "jumping" if so u joints, did you answer if your getting a pulse in your brake pedal when braking at higher speeds? Also could it be a out of balance or bent drive shaft?METALMOVER

No pulsing in the brake pedal. I do get a bit of a clunk going from drive to reverse. I'm going to go ahead and order some new U joints.

The ones on there currently are greasable, We'll see if the new ones are.

Body Damage is Cool
May sound silly but have you greased it? You said it had grease fittings. Also does your truck have a locker? If so is it possible that it is stuck locked?

I've run into u-joints that weren't loose, but had worn into a pattern where when moving the joint it felt like it had a detent in one postion. Not moving smoothly through it's range of motion could give you a vibration without any significant looseness in the joint.

I did grease them after it was brought up here. no change.

I doubt the locker is stuck as I don't get any tire screech on slow corners or anything.
And I am able to turn on the locker although it appears to have a leaky actuator as the pump keeps turning on every few seconds. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/barf.gif" alt="" />

Anyone know for sure if a 95LS 3.0 and a 95SR 3.5 have the same rear driveshafts? Because I had a spare driveshaft for my old truck (the 95LS) in storage can I just swap them?

After Looking closer It's a no, Looks like the flange on the rear axle is different. And atleast the "lip" on the trans side is different, can't confirm the splines as I didn't want to dump fluid on the driveway.
