It really doesn't take much to tow a gen 2(.5)

I was able to get one of the SUV rated trailers at uhaul (had to fib a little to the sales guy), and pulled a gen 2.5 550 miles (mostly flat, no mountains) using a 2000 Silverado 1500 (2x4, regular bed).

We did some before and after measurements, and the back of the truck only went down 1/2 of an inch with the montero loaded up. Front of the truck only went up 1/4 of an inch.

We were able to move along quite easily at 65-70 mph. Mpg was crap (10-11)


not sure where you're moving to, but you could also probably find someone near by to your new location. Drive the montero out, fly back... do the rest of your moving... Or get a buddy to drive it out to your new place, and fly him back.... bonus there is that you have someone to help you unpack!
