tdc on #1, on the dside front cylinder if I remember correctly.

On the balancer, one of two things may be wrong. One, the rubber bond may be broken and the outer hub may have slipped, and the balancer needs to be replaced. Two, the balancer may have been replaced with the wrong one, with the marks off.

The most likely is a slipped hub...

Also, it's possible to have it timed 180* out, since the crank makes two revolutions per power cycle, and you are at tdc on #4 instead of #1 (firing order is 123456, odd on one bank, even on the other). Pull the plugs for 1 and 4, and as you turn the crank toward tdc, see which cylinder is on the compression stroke by putting a finger over the plug hole.
