Bolt up to the tranny is similar. Length of the tranny differs, I would use the final tranny to mock up. I would set the motor first, then do the tranny mount last with the motor and tranny in place, and make the tranny rear output flange and the rear diff pinion flange parallel, or you'll never get rid of the driveshaft vibrations...

I was doing a good deal of measuring, and it looks like it won't be very hard to get it to fit. Just a matter of buying some steel and getting things going. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/cheers.gif" alt="" />

Dude.... 350 = Ain't gonna fit anywhere NEAR a stock configuration. Either gonna be hacking some firewall, or moving the radiator out into the grill.

I am removing the AC and moving the rad cradle forward. I am also planning on an external eletric water pump. It won't be the easiest thing Ive done, but I want my Raider to be more of an original build, so I am fine with the extra work.

Thanks man. I also plan on a solid axle on this Raider as well. Engine comes first because after I have a running truck again, it will force my hand into torching that floppy front end off. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/lol.gif" alt="" />

Just ordered a 5.3 "drop out" engine trans including ECU and wiring harness from a 04 Silverado. I will be sure to take alot of pictures. <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
