I'm working on a friends 89 raider and the timing sprocket is stuck on the crank nose. Shortblock is out and on the stand so we can get to it well. We've done the usual propane torch and 180deg apart wiggle with heat and light brass hammer blows until the seal started to smoke a bit. Searching for stuck sprocket showed some 6g72 car engines with tapped holes in the sprocket where we have none.. I'm trying to avoid tearing up the oilpump by prying and there isn't a lot of anything else to pry against. Someone know a trick before i fab a punching pattern to tap the face of this sprocket or just groove it and chisle split it?
Thanks guys !
Mike
