Hey gang,

All of a sudden, the red "door open" light on the cluster is stuck on 24/7 and the rear dome light is on...the truck seems to think that the rear door is not closed all the way, but it's latched and opens with the usual "pop" of the latch.

I was previously able to mess with the rear dome light switch and the light would go off, but it kept coming back on by itself so I popped the bulb out for now, not wanting to run my battery down overnight. BUT, the red "door open" light on the cluster is still illuminated 24/7.

Does the striker need to be adjusted? Is there a "button" that gets depressed to signal that the rear door is all the say closed? If so, I didn't see it in the rear door frame (I know in most cars, it's at the bottom of the A pillar as far as the front doors go).

I noticed after the door is closed, I can press into it with some weight and it will still push in a little bit - the other 4 doors don't do this, so maybe it does need to be adjusted. But it's latched securely, so it's hard to say for sure.

Anyone have any pointers here? That "door open" light is super annoying! I should add...the locks and latches all work fine. Thanks in advance! <img src="/forums/images/graemlins/kewl.gif" alt="" />
