I could have used anything up front when I got stuck in 2 feet deep springtime "snow cone snow" up in the Sierra near Russel's old stomping grounds. On a weekday and nobody for many miles. Finally got out digging and useing E brake to better engage rear LSD. I'm glad Montero has the lever E brake instead of one of those pull rods.
If I was still living in KY I definately wouldn't want a front LSD. There was alot of on road driving in deep wet slushy snow and in KY you always have an inch of frozen rain to coat the road before the snow hits.
Working in a Zoo your on call 24/7 and I had to get to work cause many keepers couldn't. I ,the critters and even the unionmember hating management was glad I had a Montero.
