As any of you who read my posts know I am new to off-road. Before I go out and join a 4WD club or take Jon up on his offer to go out I would like to make sure I have what I need to go. I have done searches and found list with 12 items and some as high as 36 items. I have this.

Well running LWB Monty
Hi-lift
Shovel
Spare tire
Tow strap
Tools with Pickle fork and BFH
grease
ATF,Oil,break fluid
Antifreeze
Spare Upper and Lower Hoses (radiator)
Spare Upper and Lower ball-joints
No brains

Some of these lists I think have item specific for makes.


Do a Google search and you'll find dozens of these lists to help you get an idea. Everyone's will differ slightly.

One thing I would recommend is sharing the load between other vehicles (assuming you are going on a group trip) so that there aren't 5 people carrying the same tools/parts/etc. This gives everyone a little more room in their vehicles.
