There are a couple Monteros at local yards that I'm heading to in a couple hours to pull some parts from, but I had a question about CV axle compatibility.

I have a '95 SR. In the yards, there is a '93 SR (3.0) and a '94 LS (3.0).

According to a parts website, they all share the same driver side CV axle, but the passenger side has a different part number. As far as I can tell from the published numbers, they are all 28 spline...the only difference I can tell is that the '95 SR part number shows a 21" compressed length, while the others are listed as a 20 7/8" compressed length.

I would think that if that's the only difference, then they should be interchangeable, as a 1/8" difference in compressed length seems negligible. But I could be wrong. Does anybody know for sure? If so, please post up. Thanks in advance!
