Hey all I have a question Im sure some of you will know the answer. I have a 2000 2wd 4dr Sportage w/Auto with a crack on the block running horizontally below the freeze plugs on the driver side. I found a wrecked 1997 4wd 4dr Sportage w/Manual that still runs and basically drives but some frame damage. What differences are there between the 1997 and 2000 engines? Are there any differences with the engines between the autos and manuals?

The other thing Im looking to do down the road, is transfer the 4wd bits minus the lights in the dash and auto hubs to my 2wd. I know what all is involved for auto to auto, what I dont know is will the transfer case from the manual transmission bolt onto the auto? Are the bolt patterns and output the same?

If anyone can help with either or both issues I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks.
