You could use the 97 exhaust manifold but you will need to put an O2 sensor before and after the main cat. It may not be legal and will not pass a smog visual inspection. The wiring for the switches off the transfer case may be there on your 2wd. The 2wd transmission may not work with the transfer case. You might need to get both transfer case and transmission.
