One usually airborne Miniature Pinscher
3 cats, two Maine Coon crosses (one long hair, one short, both huge - the female is about 28lbs) and one harlequin tortoiseshell domestic, all 3 of which are beyond strange...

And of course, the worms in my head...

I've always held that you can read a lot about a person based on the animals they live with...

Geez, my fur-faces are my kids Eddy.

Had Jeepers pass away 2 Christmases ago; still don't have the heart to get another cat; great mouser, and very mellow, straight-up-tail Buddha-maow; a sweetie.

My faithful lab-goldie; 'black gold' Sugar, now 7 years old. Her nickname is Timex.

Adopted her 14 months after my 19 yo Corgi-mutt Kelly passed away. Keeps me in routine, talks back at me; great camping companion; faithful as the day is long.

Two rescue dogs.

Bella - A Shepard mix. Shy of strangers. Trapped on a nearby golf course. Sweet when she gets to know you.

Buddy - A long legged, short haired, black dog. My wife had his DNA checked. Great Dane, Beagle, Golden Retriever, English Springer Spaniel and Shar pei. A true Heinz 57.

We buried two other dogs about 2 months ago. We'll miss them for a long time.

I have had a variety over the years and currently without a fur-ball around. Works best because I am seldom home to properly care for a pet.

That said, my lady-friend does have up to 5 dogs on most days. Generally it is just an aging Australian Healer and aging Chihuahua. When her daughter drops of the others for dog-sitting, there are 2 active Australian Healers and one very active Rhodesian Ridgeback mix with something.

Talk about a fast and agile dog. He can clear a 4 foot fence.

Overall, my favorite is mini dachshund. Have had 2 and they are great dogs.

Personally, I am free of animals. However, my wages currently support:

10 geese, 6 goslings
estimated 15 laying chicken hens, 15 poulets
2 dogs - brown and black labs
7 cats
2 cows
2 horses
5 alpaca
25-ish pygmy goats

freeloaders include bats and wild bunnies on the property

The Mini-pin can, too, for a beggin bacon. She can take a beggin bacon off my elbow, held even with my shoulder, and I'm 6-2.

>>>*Let's see, one Pit Bull that is so old she can barely walk, two cats, 6 fish, a bunch of spiders and ants, a few mice, an Owl in the attic and some Swallows on the porch.

Of course in the back yard we have several Deer, I had to go buy a car cover for my Corvette because they sleep in the garage. Then there are the Bear(s), Raccoons (also in the attic) and two lambs.

Once in awhile a Cougar wanders by, and the few Coyotes that have managed to survive the Cougar..and me.

We had a Lizard for awhile we couldn't catch but the Cat could, so no more Lizard.....*LOL**...

Life way out in the woods is sort of cool...*EB
