I've looked and looked on here. There some talk of conecting the hoosey to the whatsit.
I'm trying to get a photo from I guess what you youngsters call ???"hosted site"??, i.e. photobucket.
I've tried to attach it in the little box at the bottom of the post page the is a BBC or something. All the numbers appear,,when I hit post it all disappears into a black hole.
I'm about ready to give up trying to post this picture and little write up on this part that is not even in our FSMs and there are frequent thrteads and questions with idle problem on the forum.
If someone would have already posted a pic I would have understood the defective part that is not in the FSM. Being it's not in the FSM it should be posted in the Mitsu.FAQs
I'd like to help out others and save them all the $$$,time, and headaches.
So,,,can somebody help me(and everbody else) out here?

Dave, you've read this right... http://www.4x4wire.com/forums/faq.php?Cat=0#image

If so, here's a quick run down.
1) the pic needs to already be online somewhere.
2) the URL for the pic must end in a .jpg or .gif.
There may be other file extensions that also work but these two are the most common and will work for sure.
3) when adding the picture simply type [img] then the URL of the picture and [/img] right after it. No extra spaces or anything.
4) it may still not show if the picture site you're using doesn't support linking to its pictures.

This is exactly it. Also, if you don't have access to a place to host pictures*, keep in mind that attaching an image to a post here (check the I want to preview my post and/or attach a file box just above the Continue button when you go to submit your post or reply) means said image is now hosted by 4x4wire.com, meaning you can then view the image you attached (usually shows up as a link near your screen name once you post your reply. View the attachment, copy the URL, edit your post, paste the URL between IMG tags.

Bam.

*EDIT: In addition to free Flickr, Photobucket, Image Shack accounts, you can also start a free blog on Wordpress.com or Tumblr, then upload the pictures there, copy the URL, and paste between IMG tags pretty much anywhere on the web.

Sh*t. You can even upload to Friendface if you're over there and grab the URL by right clicking on the picture, Copy image URL.

There are some unwritten rules KD should be aware of.

First, if your name is Dave and you have a dog named Dog, there is a vast conspiracy to misinform and generally confuse you. Everyone is a member of this conspiracy except you and Dog, and of course, me, but I lie...

If it makes you feel better, I never got a pic to post, either...

Not responsible for advice not taken...

Just to add to this. For some reason on my IPad I cannot see any pics on older post. Just get a bunch of blue X symbols. This is more so on the page the Mitsubish tech. pagei

That's probably not just on your ipad. Have you checked for those pics on a PC? May simply be happening because the pics were originally stored on a picture hosting website & are no longer there.

As an example, hundreds of my old posts are like this because i used to use webshots.com. Unfortunately they went from a free picture hosting website to a pay hosting site and I wasn't willing to pay their monthly fees.
