With 89K, it may not need it, but the valve stem seals are a LOT easier to do with the engine on the stand. I'd say look at your rear cam seals as well to see if they need replacing.

Didn't think about the seals. While doing the seals should I replace the lifters as well to deal with the ticking issue.

I'll try to get some pics of the truck up later this week.
